The Billy Wilder Centennial

This year of 2006 marks the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of the great writer/director Billy Wilder. In honor of this event I intent to begin a series of reviews, at least one a month, that will be on movies either done by Mr. Wilder himself or by Otto Preminger a fellow Austrian-born Jewish director who was also born 100 years ago. I chose to focus on Wilder over Preminger simply because I prefers his writing, while Preminger himself is an incredible director he was not the writer Mr. Wilder was and mostly directed others material.
